Comedian Eric Omondi claims that Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz and wife Tanasha Donna have requested him to be their newborn’s godfather.
In a congratulatory message to the two, Omondi stated that he was proud of the milestone the two had struck with the baby’s delivery on Wednesday. October 2.
Omondi noted that he had known the two lovebirds had been close friends of his for a while but the baby’s arrival took their relationship to a higher level.
“Diamond Platnumz umekua rafiki na ndugu yangu wa dhati kwa miaka mingi lakini sasa umekua familia.
“Happy Birthday Bro and congratulations on the birth of your prince wishing you quick recovery bro kunywa maji mingi. Tanasha Donna siz I am always so proud of you, congrats love, I believe in you and all your dreams. Nakupenda,” wrote Omondi on Instagram.
He added that he had agreed to be the boy’s godfather after much beseeching from the Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) music star and the NRG radio personality.
“Ntakuja kukuchukua na mtoi next month mkuje asalamie ma uncle na ma Auntie huku Nairobi. I know you guys have been calling me nonstop, texting me, WhatsApping and DMing me requesting me to be the child’s Godfather, please stop, it’s enough. I’ll be his Godfather,” he added.
It was a sweet, double celebration for Diamond Platnumz and Tanasha Dona on October 2 after she gave birth to a baby boy on the same date when the WCB heavyweight was celebrating his 30th birthday.
“Happy birthday to the loves of my lives. God is good, ” Donna captioned a photo of her fiance holding the new-born on his arms.
On her InstaStory, the radio personality revealed that she spent 17 hours in labour.
“17 hours of labour, at 42 weeks. Natural birth. It was all worth it. God is good. I am now a mom to a healthy, beautiful baby boy who shares a birthday with my love. Thank you Lord,” she wrote.
